As a professional photographer, I always want to emphasize that what you wear in your photos can make or break how they turn out. For my style of photography, light, neutral tones are always the way to go to ensure your photos turn out how you envision.

Some extra tips:
If the weather is cooler, add a light colored chunky knit cardigan or sweater. This creates a great texture for your photos.
And remember! My general rule is: chose mom’s outfit first, and base the rest of the family’s color palette off her.
